Job Description

Provide day to day tool support for the monitoring functions to the clients’ production environments applying process, procedures, standards, guidelines and best practices. Hands on expertise in the support and configuration of System Management Tools.


• Troubleshoot System Management Tools functions (monitoring) when error occurs;
• Implement and deliver scripts related to the monitoring tools;
• Available to work on a 7/24 schedule;
• Involved in the implementation of projects and changes.
• Have worked on Cisco VPN (remote access), Host Explorer, Exceed, Oracle, SSH and Remedy client, Framework and console of Tivoli monitoring products.
• Solid knowledge of Incident and Change Management Processes, and IT Service management (ITIL) best practices and processes;

Must Have Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with any of the following Tivoli products, ITM5.1, TEC 3.8, Framework 4.1.1, EMC Smarts.
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in maintaining, supporting and developing monitoring script using programming languages such as Perl, Java;
  • Good knowledge of the main operating systems used (Linux, Solaris, AIX, HPUX, Windows 2000 et 2003);
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using the following Help Desk tools, such as Remedy ITSP and/or Remedy AR;
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with the following products: MS-Office, MS-Access, MS-Project, Windows infrastructures.
  • Good knowledge of networking (tcp/ip, routing, etc.)

Good to Have experience with the following monitoring products

  • Tivoli products: ITM5.1, TEC 3.8, Framework 4.1.1
  • Computer Associated products: Unicenter 3.1 and R11.1;
  • BMC Patrol 7.0
  • Smarts 6.2 and/or 7.2
